Indradhanura Chhai, or in English, Shadows of the Rainbow, is an Oriya-language national awards winning fillm, the only one featured (with Un Certain Regard) in Cannes Film Festival in 1995. Last few decades have seen rapid urbanization in many parts of India. Set in a small town in Odisha, the story highlights through the lives, conflicts and interactions of three women from three different generations, that development has mixed consequences on the traditions, cultures, societies and families. It is a meditative, musical saga of the changing times and of the wavering perceptions of human nature and relationships.
The screening will be followed by an interactive session with Mr.Susant Misrra (Director), Mr.Jugala Debata (Producer) of the film.
