Released in 1963, directed by Federico Fellini, Eight and a half movie presents an unusual comedy-drama. By 1963, Fellini had made seven and a half films. Hence, 8 1⁄2 is like an opus number: this is film number eight and a half in the Fellini's catalog. "Dreams of the future merge with memories of the past as a fascinating array of imagery", point critics.
Fellini stands as the Charles Dickens of Cinema. As with Dickens, critics find him sentimental, exaggerated and chaotic. This film is awarded with two Academy and one National award.
