Based on a serious social oppression theme, its a critical satire. The story brings in light, the corruption in the judicial system & victimization of under privileged by the powerful class. One of the most striking part of the film is the character of the victim played by Om Puri. With his stunned look throughout the movie, he plays the character perfectly without even speaking a single dialogue.
It was Govind Nihalini's debut film. Written by Ajay Tendulkar, based on a true event. It bagged the national film award for the best feature film and several film fare awards for acting, direction, screen play & art direction.
The screening will be followed by a interaction session with Prof Gayatri Chatterjee, Film teacher and writer.
