Online Interaction
During the COVID-19 times, he most affected community is that of the students, with their increasing stress level, classes being shifted to online mode, schools and colleges being closed for an indefinite amount of time and their childhoods being snatched or affected from being confined to their houses. Dr. Kiran Seth, the founder of SPIC MACAY says that apart from conducting their regular academic classes, it is also important to induce the elements of subtlety, abstraction, inspiration and most importantly, a mystical element into the lives of the young people who are currently at home. In a bid to do so SPIC MACAY may not be able to conduct programs this year in institutions, but Dr. Seth says that “The process of touching the lives of young people should not stop.”Moreover, SPIC MACAY has always gone beyond the concept of conventional concerts, a testimony to it being the lecture-demonstration format of our concerts, and now with the help of Online Interactions, we once again up our game.
Purpose of Online Interaction
Online Interactions provide us a Greater Outreach within the youth. As internet accessibility has been increasing in India and around the world, the world is increasingly transforming into a Global Village and through Online Interactions, the SPIC MACAY movement also plays its role in making this whole new world a better place, by developing a platform where the youth can experience the rich and beautiful heritage of India and the World, at the same time experiencing peace of mind, immense positivity, and as icing on the cake it even helps in crossing the barriers of border by providing easier access.
Online mode of Interaction is arguably the most effective form of interaction at the present time, it helps us avoid negativity of our daily hectic schedule, of our busy lives, without much extra effort, and since Online Interactions are Well Documented, they provide us a great collection of performances, talks and some memorable experiences in such a way that even if we miss the live interaction we can still undergo the experience at any opportune moment which is undoubtedly a big advantage of this platform.
Online mode of interaction is a true testimony to the ideal of Nishkaam Seva or service without expecting anything in return. As through this platform, selfless and great hardwork of hundreds of volunteers, who are one of the four pillars of SPIC MACAY reaches the Indian as well as the Global audience with just a single motive of having everyone experience the richness of culture and heritage. Immense efforts are made by volunteers around the globe for the youth to undergo the inward journey with the guidance of our gurus. And such efforts are the true essence of nishkaam seva.

We are organizing many online series since the lockdown, find some of the highlight events below :
The Parampara Series
The Parampara Series is one of it's kind series by the SPIC MACAY movement in which an attempt to bring the youth closer to our culture was made. Young and Budding artists performed during the Parampara Series breaking the stereotypes of Heritage and Classical music as well as dance, being a thing of past, which often surrounds the youth's mind. The Parampara Series gave the chance to the youth to experience the performances by young and budding artists, thus, not only giving them a chance to be blessed with the precious jewels of culture in the form of music,art and dance but also being bewitched with the sheer talent and erudition of the present generation.
The Anubhav Series
Originally SPIC MACAY had scheduled to organize the 8th International Convention in its 43rd year, at IIT Kanpur. However, due to the COVID19 pandemic, Anubhav Series was conducted by SPIC MACAY in an online format. With this, were able to reach out to a much larger and diverse audience base of all ages, across geographies, nationally and internationally. In the past, seven International Conventions of SPIC MACAY were held at JNU Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IIT Guwahati and at IIM Calcutta. The 2017 international convention held at IIT Delhi was inaugurated by honorable Prime Minister.
The Rendezvous Series
Another great initiative by SPIC MACAY movement under the Online Interactions format is the Rendezvous Series, set of performances organized as part of the Rendezvous Series gave the audience the opportunity to be enlightened by the most stalwart and phenomenal artists who are the masters of their respective fields, from talks to classical music and dance performances, the audience gets the chance to benefit from the erudition of our revered gurus. Not only this but the Rendezvous Series covers a variety of programs such as film screenings, performances by great artists, talks by gurus, and many more which proves to be a blessing for all the heritage enthusiasts out there.
Yoga Shivir
The International Day of Yoga has been celebrated worldwide on the 21st of June since its announcement by the honorable Prime Minister of India and its inception by the United Nations General Assembly in September, 2014. By organising this 5-day online sessions, SPIC MACAY took the intitiative to not just celebrate this significant day, but also create awareness and impart yoga training to the participants from every corner of the world.
Rasraj Smaran
SPIC MACAY brought together the living legends of Indian Classical Music like Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, Pt. Birju Maharaj, Dr. L. Subramaniam, Pt. Shivkumar Sharma, Begum Parveen Sultana, Vid. Sonal Mansingh, Vid. Vikku Vinayakram, Pt. Rajan and Pt. Sajan Mishra, Vid. Sudha Raghunathan, Pt. Rattan Mohan Sharma, and Vid. Madhavi Mudgal on one platform to pay a humble tribute to Sangeet Martand Pt. Jasraj through " Rasraj Smaran " on the 30th of August, 2020.
The Global Connect Series
The Global Connect Series is another one if it's kind series arranged by SPIC MACAY movement under the Online Interactions Format, from Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi to Vidushi Alarmel Valli everyone gets the chance to live the once in a lifetime experience by listening to the gurus and get the chance to benefit from the lessons provided by the eminent personalities. Not only this as part of the Lecture-demonstration format students even get the chance to ask questions and interact with the gurus.
