College / University
Cultural Programming for Higher Education
SPIC MACAY has deep roots in India's college and university network. We have organised thousands of programmes on campuses ranging from IITs and IIMs to small degree colleges in tier-3 towns. As a partner institution, you provide a performance space and a student audience. SPIC MACAY handles artist travel, honoraria, programme documentation, and coordination. All programmes are free of charge for the institution and its students.
What We Need From You
- A venue with seating for at least 100 students (indoor or open-air)
- A faculty or student point of contact who can coordinate on the day
- Willingness to promote the programme through notice boards and student groups
- Commitment to maintaining a respectful, attentive atmosphere during performances
School
Classical Arts for Young Minds
Schools are among the most powerful settings for SPIC MACAY's work. When a child hears a Hindustani raga or watches a Bharatanatyam performance for the first time, it can change their relationship with culture for life. We offer programmes tailored to school audiences — shorter sets, more interactive introductions, and artists who are comfortable engaging with young students. All programmes are free, and we work with your academic calendar to minimise disruption.
What We Need From You
- A hall or open space with seating for at least 50 students
- A teacher or cultural in-charge who can liaise with our team
- Permission from the principal for the programme date
- Confirmation of the age group / class level expected to attend
Corporate / NGO
Cultural Programmes for Your Organisation
SPIC MACAY organises cultural programmes for corporate campuses, NGO communities, and civil society organisations that wish to offer their members an authentic encounter with India's living heritage. These programmes are different from commercial events — they are intimate, context-rich, and designed to invite genuine listening. We work with organisations that understand and respect this approach.
What We Need From You
- A venue with seating for 50–200 attendees
- An internal organiser who can manage RSVPs and venue logistics
- Commitment to a non-ticketed, free-attendance format
- Willingness to include a brief programme note or introduction
